“Spindrift” is a large, 4 bedroom detached house, built in 1972, situated 200 metres from the beach, with magnificent sea views. The house is set in a small private estate of 8 houses, immediately above a large sandy beach, with safe bathing, and is popular with surfers. There is easy access to the beach.
The house is of a split level design. The front door leads into a lobby and hall area, off which is located a shower room. Stairs lead to the main part of the house which consists of a large comfortably furnished lounge with an open fireplace, (TV, video, DVD, CD player and telephone and broadband connection available). a dining room, and a large newly fitted kitchen which includes an eating area. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker and induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
3 steps lead to a double bedroom ( 4’6’’ double bed), family bathroom, and main bedroom (5’double bed) with en suite bath/shower room. Further stairs lead to 2 double bedrooms (each with 2 single beds) and separate toilet.
The house is surrounded by an extensive grass area. There is a south facing patio area and picnic table, benches and barbecue are provided. Adjacent to the patio is a 30ft private swimming pool heated between May and September, enclosed in a fenced off and landscaped area. Beyond the swimming pool is a grassy area at the rear of the tennis court, which is for exclusive use of Spindrift tenants. Sun loungers are available for use and kept in the garden shed.
The house is adjacent to a newly surfaced tennis court, which is shared with other houses on the estate. There is no booking system in operation, and we trust that no one house will monopolise the use of the court
Information and Facilities
- Tenants are expected to provide their own towels and bedlinen (sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases), although a linen hire service may be available on request.
- A Graco compact travel cot with duvet and cover is available if required.
- An integral single garage can be entered from the shower room, where a washing machine and tumble dryer are located.
- THE HOUSE IS EQUIPPED FOR 8 PEOPLE AND THIS NUMBER SHOULD NOT BE EXCEEDED. Rentals have been set accordingly. Tenants should please ensure that “Spindrift” is not used excessively by groups staying in other properties in the vicinity, and that equipment is not removed from the property.
- Dogs are not allowed
- It is requested that guests do not smoke inside the house.
NOTES: Rentals are inclusive of electricity, heating cleaning, telephone allowance, including broadband. Linen is not included but maybe hired if required. Rentals between 2nd May-2nd Oct include allowance for exclusive use of the heated swimming pool. The usual changeover day is Monday, alternative arrangements or concessionary rentals maybe negotiated out of season.
